AS I LAY DYING To Miss First Five Shows Of LAMB OF GOD Tour

March 16, 2009

Vocalist Tim Lambesis of San Diego-based, Grammy-nominated metallers AS I LAY DYING has been in the process of adopting a child from Ethiopia for a year now and just recently learned that the official adoption and travel dates are the first week of April. As a result, AS I LAY DYING will have to miss the first five shows of the upcoming LAMB OF GOD-headlined No Fear Energy Music Tour (also featuring CHILDREN OF BODOM, GOD FORBID and MUNICIPAL WASTE).

Commented Tim: "It's impossible to time something like this, and it goes without saying that I won't be able to make the first five shows of our upcoming tour. However, I'm very thankful to the LAMB OF GOD guys for their understanding and support. Fortunately, they've been able to find excellent bands to replace us keeping the lineup of this tour exciting as ever. We'll be meeting up with the tour in Vancouver, B.C. and finishing out the remaining five weeks. We look forward to seeing you all then!"

The affected dates are as follows:

Apr. 02 - Dodge Theater - Phoenix, AZ
Apr. 03 - Palladium - Los Angeles, CA
Apr. 04 - Events Center - San Jose, CA
Apr. 05 - Crest Theater - Fresno, CA
Apr. 07 - Paramount - Seattle, WA

While there is no specific time period currently set for the band to make up these shows, they definitely want their fans to know that they plan to get back into these five cities at some point in the near future.

Due on April 14, AS I LAY DYING's first-ever DVD, "This Is Who We Are", consists of three discs produced and directed by Denise Korycki (CANNIBAL CORPSE's "Centuries of Torment" DVD) that provide viewers with live performances and a complete AS I LAY DYING audio/visual history.

"It's hard to believe that we've been a band for as long as we have yet have never released an official DVD documenting our first seven years," said Tim Lambesis. "As a result, we've included so much content that you hardly have to like our music to be entertained. With that said, it feels good knowing how many diehard fans over the years have supported our band and their simple enjoyment of our music has given us the chance to see the world!"

AS I LAY DYING is:

Tim Lambesis - Vocals
Jordan Mancino - Drums
Nick Hipa - Guitar
Phillip Sgrosso - Guitar
Josh Gilbert - Bass
